This Privacy Policy explains how Goode Pickens, LLC ("Goode Pickens," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares information through goodepickens.com (the "Site") and our email list. By using the Site or joining our list, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you join our list, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide them, your first name, ZIP code and the topics you select. If you email us, we receive the contents of your message and your contact details.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider records standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on the Site.

Email activity. Our email service records whether our emails are delivered and opened and which links are clicked. We use this to understand what our readers want and to keep our list healthy.

2. How we use information

To send you the updates you signed up for, including egg availability, market dates, subscription openings, Farm Day invitations and other farm news.
To decide where to sell and where to place subscription drop points.
To respond to your messages and requests.
To operate, secure and improve the Site.
To comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only:

With service providers that help us run the Site and our email list, currently MailerLite (email) and Netlify (website hosting). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
When required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Goode Pickens, our customers or others.
In connection with a merger, sale, financing or reorganization of all or part of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

4. Your choices

Unsubscribe: every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us and we'll remove you.
Access, correct or delete: email info@goodepickens.com to see, update or delete the information we hold about you. We'll respond within 45 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will honor requests as required by applicable law.

5. How long we keep information

We keep your list information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we don't contact you again. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or email system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and we'll notify list members by email of any material change.
