The Problem
Food should not have to travel halfway across the country to reach your breakfast table. Yet much of the food we eat does exactly that. Eggs often pass through multiple distributors, warehouses, and retailers before they reach consumers. By the time they arrive, freshness has been lost and costs have been added at every step.
Colorado has relatively few farms producing pasture-raised eggs at a commercial scale. As demand for healthier, ethically produced food continues to grow, local supply has struggled to keep pace.
Many communities also have limited access to fresh, nutrient-dense foods. Families living in food deserts often have fewer healthy options and may have to travel farther to find quality food at a reasonable price.
We believe there is a better way. A stronger local food system means fresher food, shorter supply chains, less transportation, more dollars staying in Colorado communities, and better access to healthy foods for everyone.
The Solution
Good Pickens Farms is building a stronger local food system by connecting Colorado consumers directly with local farms. We're starting with pasture-raised eggs—the most requested product from our community—and expanding to other locally-produced foods.
By shortening the supply chain, we reduce transportation costs and time, ensuring fresher products reach your table faster. More of your money stays in Colorado communities, supporting local farmers and strengthening our regional food economy.
We're committed to transparency, quality, and sustainability. Every product we offer meets our high standards for ethical production and nutritional value.
